  • Chili Face-Off

    Community Shelter Services is hosting a Chili Face-Off! Local restaurants will prepare their favorite recipes for a friendly competition to determine the best chili in Erie. The winner will be selected by popular vote by those who attend, and other awards will be determined by celebrity judges. Join us during this fun event to sample great chili and beer, enjoy live music with Claire Stuczynski Music and Eric Brewer & Friends, and participate in raffles and other games! Proceeds from this event will benefit programs offered at Community Shelter Services to assist the homeless in Erie County. Advance tickets go on sale at Northwest Savings Bank beginning February 13th through February 25th for $20.00, children 12 and under are $10.00, and children 5 and under are free. Tickets purchased at the door are $25.00 for adults.

  • The Struggle for Power: A Study of Erie’s Political Leadership 1851-2017

    Bring a stuffed animal to storytime and then leave the stuffies to enjoy a night of games, snacks and fun at a library sleepover. Pick up your fuzzy friend on Saturday morning after 10 AM and see pictures of their adventures in the library. If you can't make it to storytime, you can drop off a fuzzy or furry friend (one per child) anytime between 1pm and 4pm.
