Au-some Evening

Monday, June 15, 2026 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM
Every child deserves a place to play, explore, and thrive 🌟 🗓️ Monday, June 15 | 5:30 - 7:30 PM 📍 expERIEnce Children's Museum | 420 French St., Erie, PA 16507 💲 $5 per Person Pre-registration is highly recommended - spots are limited and walk-ins are only welcome if tickets remain available online: https://www.eriechildrensmuseum.org/au-some-evening/ June's Au-some Morning is proudly sponsored by UPMC Health Plan 🌈 What is an Au-some Evening? An Au-some Evening is a specially designed, sensory-friendly event where children with autism spectrum disorder and other sensory sensitivities, and their families, can explore the museum in a calm, supportive environment. We turn down the noise, dim the lights, and open our doors so every child can play, explore, and thrive at their own pace. What's Different at Au-some Evenings? To create a more comfortable experience, the following exhibit elements will be powered down or modified: 🌟 Auto Shop Car Elements 🌟 Farm Clouds 🌟 Construction House 🌟 Hammer and Nails Items 🌟 Basement Dehumidifier Additional Sensory Supports Include: 🌈 Our Quiet Cove will remain unlocked as a calm retreat space throughout the event 🌈 Classroom 1 will be set up as a dedicated sensory-friendly space featuring Magna-Tiles, Squigs, and low-stimulation open-ended play 🌈 Families will have electronic access to our PECs board via QR code at the front desk 🌈 The Light Lab and Flight Lab will be brought into the space The museum's Social Story is available to read, download, and print ahead of your visit so your child knows what to expect - Printed copies will also be available at the front desk the day of the event.
