Tattoo artists Taylor Cort and Shawn Booth decided to do a duo tour and have included Erie on the list of stops after Tracy Evans asked, well, demanded that they come to Erie.

"Both of them are badass!" said Evans, general manager and promotions director at The crooked i. Evans said she travels to North Carolina once a year to get tattooed by Cort.

"Just trust that if you are wanting a tattoo, my suggestion is you hit up Mid-Town Tattoo and make an appointment with Taylor Cort," Evans said. "Be sure to check out Shawn Booth's work as well."

Taylor and Booth will be set up and tattooing at Mid-Town Tattoo from 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27 to 10 p.m. Monday, 28. And according to the Facebook event, Cort is offering $200 custom flash pieces but welcomes folks to stop by with their own designs by scheduling an appointment.

Evans, who said she began getting tattooed at 18, started in what she calls "the tribal years" and said she got her fair share of "crap tattoos" when she first started getting inked when she "didn't know the difference."

"Luckily, when I moved to Asheville, N.C., I was introduced to Taylor Cort. Now, those crap tattoos have been transformed into colorful NewSkool Masterpieces!" Evans said. "It didn't stop there—I've continued to go to Taylor for work for the past 5 years."

The winner of numerous awards at conventions throughout the U.S., Cort apprenticed under Chris Vennehamp with All or Nothing Tattoo. Cort specializes in custom NewSkool, Realism, and Portraits, but also does Neo-Traditional.

Booth is an up-and-coming tattoo artist from Dallas. Another award-winning artist, Booth specializes in NewSkool, Portraits, Black & Grey, and Neo-Traditional.

Mid-Town Tattoo is located at 3711 Popular St. For further information, check out the Facebook page for this event.
