Monday, Jun. 17

The Asbury Woods' annual Music Monday in the Woods series is set to begin, running seven weeks from June 17 to July 29.

Each week the nature center, which prides itself on providing educational and recreational environmental experiences, will host a regional artist of a different genre and a local food truck. New to the annual series is Lavery Brewing Company, who will host an on-site beer garden featuring locally crafted beers. From every pint sold during the series, $1 will go back to Asbury Woods.

The first spot in the series lineup is filled by local acoustic folk-rock songwriter Claire Stuczynski, backed up by the versatile guitarist Eric Brewer. The SorcErie Food Truck will be at the show offering food and beverages for purchase to concert-goers.

The following week, classic-rock-loving acoustic duo Rankin and Schell will fill the slot. The Cluck Truk will be on location. Playing popular country music, Boyd and Lex will perform at the wooded venue during the third installment of the series while A Waffle Miracle food truck feeds listeners. Singer-songwriters Katie and Jesse will fill the fourth week's lineup, with Rust Belt blues duo Paolello and Gone following the fifth, and Erie-based Gem City Revival on the sixth.

Erie singer-songwriter Dan Baney, the lead singer of regional country band REFUGE, will close out the series, and Dickey's Barbecue Pit will provide the last wave of local food for purchase to music-lovers in attendance.  — Hannah McDonald
