This year's Erie Philharmonic Holiday Pops concert will feature the impressive talent of Blaine Krauss, of Broadway's Hamilton, as well as the vocal prowess of Shaleah Adkisson, along with the Phil's chorus, singing all your favorite holiday songs.

Saturday, Dec. 3

It's hard to imagine a place more magical during the holidays than the historic Warner Theatre in the heart of downtown Erie. Recently, the theatre, which was built in 1929 at the commission of the Warner Brothers, has undergone extensive renovations and restorations to ensure the building stands (and can accommodate impressive events) for generations to come. And while the structure of the theatre has changed with these renovations, the interior character has not, and the feeling of being whisked away to another time remains.

So what better way to ring in the holiday season than by taking a wistful trip to the Warner Theatre to hear the Erie Philharmonic and company present their Home for the Holidays: A Soulful Christmas Holiday Pops concert? The Pops series, presented by the Erie Philharmonic, brings family friendly, easily accessible concerts to Erie through crowd pleasing favorites (like Star Wars, Toy Story, and Cirque du Soleil), and the Holiday Pops concert has the same vibe: these are songs everyone knows and loves, presented by some of the best talents, both national and local.

Have you heard of Broadway's smash hit Hamilton? Vocalist Blaine Krauss, from the ultra-famous musical, will be one of the featured acts of the performance, along with the incredible Shaleah Adkisson. This impressive duo will perform some of the most beloved holiday hits, accompanied by the Erie Philharmonic and the Philharmonic Chorus. And how could the holiday season be complete without the moving voices of children singing? This Holiday Pops program will also feature the voices of the Junior Chorus and Youth Chorale, and there may also be a surprise visit from the man in red himself; you'll have to attend to see.

Doors to the event will be open 90 minutes prior to the shows, and there will be a professional photographer on site offering free holiday family photos, so plan to arrive early, take in the beauty of the theatre, and get your family holiday card photo taken care of in the process.

Check out the latest Erie Reader social media posts before Thursday, December 1st for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the performance, or see other ticketing information here. Get into the spirit, and come home for the holidays to the stunning Warner Theatre, and sing along to all your holiday favorites with the moving voices and orchestral splendor of the Erie Philharmonic.

Saturday, Dec. 3, 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. // Warner Theatre, 811 State St // More information visit eriephil.org
