The Democratic nominee for the Pennsylvania State Senate Julie Slomski's recently received the Erie School Directors and local leaders' support.

Slomski's endorsements come on the heels of the announcement that Slomski is the only state senate candidate endorsed by PSEA and the American Federation of Teachers.

According to Slomski, "my opponent likes to claim he saved the Erie School District, but today we heard directly from those who were also involved and the record is clear: saving the school district was a collaborative effort."

"I will always fight for public schools, and these leaders are here today because they know I will get the job done. My opponent, on the other hand, voted to divert $30 million from public schools across the 49th district into a fund for unaccountable charter schools," said Slomski.
