The Jefferson Educational Society (JES) and the Erie Center for Arts and Technology (ECAT) announced a new satellite program partnership at their joint press conference on Friday, June 3.

The new program will feature a speaker series with special guests all Pennsylvania based, such as Mayor Jaime Kinder of Meadville and Mayor Dwan B. Walker of Aliquippa. Presentations are scheduled twice a month on Thursday nights.

According to Jefferson satellite program coordinator Raven Clark, Dr. Parris J. Baker, associate professor in the Department of Criminal Justice and Social Work at Gannon University, will kick off the series on June 16 with a presentation titled "Footsteps of our Fathers: A Discussion on Fatherhood." Baker's talk will examine father-child involvement through a sociological lens.

All presentations are free and open to the public and will be held at the ECAT facility located in East Erie. The full calendar and registration information for the JES and ECAT satellite programming can be found on the Jefferson event page.
