Shed your worries and come on down to this scale-tastic, family-friendly event. The Erie Reptile Expo will be held this Sunday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Erie Bank Sports Park. The expo has a mixture of vendors, breeders, and educators, giving guests the opportunity to learn about, see, and even purchase an assortment of reptiles.

The first reptile expo was held in Erie this past February and will continue monthly. Dates of each expo can be found on the event Facebook page. You don't need to be a cha-meleon-aire to attend this event either. Admission is only $6 and free to kids under the age of four.

"This is just something different to enjoy with family. It's just something new. Plus, like I said, you can get a new pet or find something that maybe you didn't think you'd be interested in but turns out to be something that you really like," said Trisha Volz, owner of the Erie Reptile Expo.

Volz hosts another reptile expo in Pittsburgh with her sister who has been running these expos for around 30 years. Volz says that once laws were revamped in Erie that permitted exotics, they decided to introduce this reptile-filled event to the area.

The Reptile Expo has a fully booked venue this month. Guests will be able to see everything from snakes, lizards, geckos, turtles and more. For those who wish to purchase an animal, all of the pet supplies needed to care for your reptile will be available. In addition, educators will be able to answer any questions about the reptiles.

Guests can also grab a bite to eat from the Lil Wagon food truck. They will be serving breakfast sandwiches and lunch near the soccer ball statue at the golf dome.

You're not 'guana want to miss this event!
