Saturday, Apr. 14

Syracuse, N.Y. act Sophistafunk and Erie's favorite party band The LEC are set to throw down some funk goodness at the Kings Rook in the downstairs concert complex.

Sophistafunk is a multi-genre group known for their high-energy live performances and seamless sound that is rooted in old school funk and hip-hop influences. Since they started in 2007, they've collaborated with some greats including everyone from Bernie Worrell to Nikki Glaspie and have played at Guy Fieri's birthday party in Santa Rosa, Calif. after their keyboard player Adam Gold had his restaurant featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives.

The LEC will take the stage as well with their self-proclaimed "Hippie-Hop" genre of music. Their songs feature influences from funk, hip-hop and rock with original music featuring some fantastic funk bass, vocal harmonies, and keyboard and guitar sections that are sure to keep the party going all night.

The upstairs lounge after party will be hosted by Jonny Evans of The LEC to finish the night off. — Roman Sabella
