The long-awaited total solar eclipse happening April 8 in Erie is an extremely rare astronomical spectacle. On that day, the Moon will cast a shadow that touches Erie for three minutes and forty seconds. In this talk, Dr. Darren Williams, a professor of astronomy at Penn State Behrend, will discuss how eclipses occur both today and in the past, and will describe what to expect on eclipse day next spring. $10/person or $15 with a guest
