SPEAKER: AUTUMN VOGEL Cooperatives are businesses that are owned and controlled by those who benefit from them. Cooperative organizations have been organized throughout history to meet many different needs, often in response to economic and social stress. Around the world, communities are turning to cooperative solutions to meet the social, economic, and environmental crises of our time. Autumn Vogel is a Cooperative Business Developer with Keystone Development Center (KDC), a nonprofit with a mission to sustain local economies through cooperative business development across the Mid-Atlantic by providing technical and research assistance to emerging and existing cooperatives. In this public talk, Vogel will share about the cooperative business model and the ways in which people in our region are cooperating to solve shared problems and build community wealth.
