Girard PA History Walk

Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 1 PM to 2 PM

Discover more about Girard Pennsylvania's fascinating history with a guided walking tour! See the places and hear the stories that earned Girard's Main Street its designation on the National Register of Historic Places. The walk is approximately a mile long and lasts about an hour. Our last stop will be the Universalist Church on Myrtle Street, where we can go inside, rest among the beautiful stained-glass windows, and learn about the central role this historic church played in Girard's Underground Railroad. All walks take place the last Thursday of the month at 1:00pm, May through August 2024. The walks are free and open to the public, however RESERVATIONS ARE REQUIRED. Call or text 814-490-5078 to reserve your spot.
