Webinar on Navigating Risks for Nonprofit News Organizations

This training, led by attorneys from the Reporters Committee for Freedom of the Press and law firm Davis Polk, will discuss the legal and regulatory threats facing nonprofit news organizations in a changing political landscape, and provide strategies on how to mitigate risk of exposure to legal action and government investigation. Topics will include tax management, fundraising regulations, the relationship between editorial decision-making and nonprofits' 501(c)(3) status, and resources offered by the Reporters Committee and other organizations to assist nonprofit news organizations in navigating these issues.
