Bay ats and Bookworms: JES's Frew And Roth Take Their Work From The Page To Stage To Celebrate 200-plus Publications 

Monday, May 19, 2025 from 7 PM to 8:30 PM

At the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, when many weren't sure what to do, or what would be coming next amid mandatory shelter-in-place orders to prevent the spread, JES Scholars-in-Residences Drs. David Frew and Andrew Roth took to their keyboards. Frew began "On the Waterfront," a weekly look at the history and tales of Erie's bayfront through the lens of a self-described "bay rat." Roth launched "Book Notes," a weekly series reviewing books, delving into poetry, expanding his "American Tapestry Series," and more. Hear both authors reflect on their work in a celebration of each having reached 200 installments of these widely read series.
