Conversations about Climate the NE Climate Club is starting! What: Conversations about Climate and what we can do as individuals and a community to understand the challenges and opportunities. Add this conversation to your calendar to discuss with people in your community who would like to learn more about how climate is changing our community, what we as individuals should know about climate and weather trends and what we can each do to make meaningful changes. The conversations are meant to build on each-other; you are welcome to attend if you can attend all or a few of the dates below. Dates: May 9th, 5:30pm From Soup to Nuts how what we eat effects climate. This initial discussion will offer opportunities to understand climate change and how it is affecting the food systems we use daily. May 16, 5:30pm What is climate? Understanding the language and data around climate and weather. June 6th 5:30pm Climate impacts understanding mitigation and adaptation strategies. June 13th 5:30pm (this topic will be held and planned based on the interest of the group) July 25th 5:30pm Effective Climate Change communication strategies. Working with others in your community. Conversations are structured for adult participants. If your family would like to attend, please let us know the age of the participants. We will try to accommodate everyone in this conversation and activities. All are welcome to attend, there is no charge to participate, dinner will be offered to all who gather.
