Originally scheduled during HistERIE week, but cancelled due to weather, the OWB bike tour is back and better than ever!
In partnership with Preservation Erie and Our West Bayfront, Erin Phillips of Old Erie on Foot will lead a biking tour of historic and interesting homes of the West Bayfront Saturday, July 19th at 10am.
Erin is the managing editor and a contributing writer for the Erie Reader. She is also the creator of the Instagram and blog of Old Erie on Foot, which explores the historic residential architecture of Erie, PA. Born from her love of taking walks in her historic West Bayfront neighborhood with her family. Erin has cherry picked some of her favorite homes compiled from all of her public bike rides over the past few years. Attendees will see homes of varying architectural styles with plenty of local history and some wacky anecdotes and stories thrown in (including some local true crime!). The ride will include 10 properties with two never before presented homes that are relevant to Our West Bayfront's mission and will include updates and comments from OWB staff.
People of all ages are welcome to attend. All children must be accompanied by a guardian. All attendees must wear a proper cycling helmet.
