The Erie County Human Relations Commission (ECHRC) invites the community
to a vital conversation as part of its "Next in Line: Being Black (and Young) in Erie" series.
The event will take place on Tuesday, November 25th at 5:30 PM at the Erie Center for Arts &
Technology (ECAT), located at 650 East Avenue, Erie, PA 16503.
Moderated by Raven Clark, the panel will feature local youth and young adults sharing personal
stories about growing up, working, and navigating identity in Erie. The discussion will also
explore the work of the Human Relations Commission, what discrimination looks like in
everyday life, and how the HRC can support those who experience it.
"This series is essential for amplifying the voices of young Black residents, the next generation
of leaders and innovators in Erie," said Dr. Kristy Gnibus, Director of the Erie County Human
Relations Commission. By creating a space for honest dialogue, reflection, and exploration of
solutions, we can collectively strive to build a more inclusive, equitable, and connected
community Community members are encouraged to attend whether they plan to listen, reflect, or actively
engage. All are welcome.
