Optimistic Apocalypse is a band with lead singer and songwriter Mac Sprague is an indie/dreamrock band born in Erie, PA circa 2013. Tunes with catchy earworm melodies and lyrics that pull on your heart strings. "cataract" is a two-piece comprised of Ben on drums and Jake on guitar and vocals, and more recently joined live by their friend Porter on bass and lead guitar. Their lyrics hover around melancholic themes and their sound is characterized by fuzzy guitar and crushing drums. Jake and Ben have played together for over a decade across a few different projects.
