Speaker: Jeffrey Fike There are numerous projects in Corry, Pennsylvania, inching there way closer on the horizon that are now closer to reality than they've ever been. From the new wastewater treatment plant to a decades-overdue emergency service facility that has been discussed for a very long time. There's also the resurrection of a section of the Greenway Junction Trail, the Corry / Lawrence Airport transfer is near completion, as well as the new Comprehensive Plan and the new zoning ordinance with updated code compliance ordinance to move toward completion soon after. And Corry City and Corry Police have begun a new partnership with Corry Memorial Hospital, providing an additional police officer to the city at no cost. There's been some good timing, too, as Corry received word early this year that First Energy would be replacing every streetlight in the city with LED lights at no cost, providing a huge savings for the city for the cost of the lights, and future utility costs. Too, PennDOT is beginning work to resurface Center Street, Main Street, and West Washington Street – a project that had been delayed for a few years. Come learn about the progress made and plans in place from Corry Mayor Jeffrey Fike. JES Satellite Programming is sponsored by Erie Insurance.
