History Is Fun - Oregon Trail

Wednesday, June 24, 2026 from 1 PM to 3 PM

Could you survive on the Oregon Trail? Stretching from Independence, Missouri across the Great Plains, Rocky Mountains, and into the green valleys of the Pacific Northwest, deciding to pick up and go west was no small undertaking! We will talk a little about why people were crossing the country, what they took with them, then play a card game simulating the journey! Will you break an arm or a leg? Get bit by a snake? Will you contract dysentery? Be able to successfully ford one of the many rivers you encounter? Join us and find out!

This program is intended for children ages 8 - 12 years old. Seating is limited, registration required.
