Where does the story of democracy ends? Or perhaps, less provocatively and less dispiritingly, "where is democracy now"? A vital question to ask as we look at the state of democracy in the world today and the severe problems that it faces and the particular threats that are current as the United States and the free world as we celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which Dr. Robert Garland, the Roy D. and Margaret B. Wooster Emeritus Professor of the Classics at Colgate University, and author of numerous books, will shine a light on in his "Democracy: From Beginning to Now" series.
