The Erie-Western Pennsylvania Port Authority (EWPPA)'s "Master Plan Refresh: A Vision for the Former Erie Coke Site" outlines a long-term vision for the nearly 194-acre waterfront property, one of the most significant redevelopment opportunities along Lake Erie. Acquired by EWPPA in 2024 after industrial operations ended in 2019, the site is poised to play a key role in shaping the future of Erie's eastern Bayfront. This plan provides a flexible framework to guide planning, investment, and decision-making in the decades ahead, aligned with EWPPA's strategic priorities and responsive to environmental conditions, market demands, and community input. Community input shaped this plan from start to finish, with residents contributing through multiple rounds of outreach and online surveys. EWPPA Leadership Team of Chief Financial Officer Ericka Knight (2019 Jefferson Civic Leadership Academy Graduate), Deputy Executive Director Anna Frantz, and Executive Director Julie Slomski will review the Master Plan Refresh and participate in a collaborative discussion with event attendees.
