Chautauqua Visual Arts is thrilled to welcome Frida Kahlo, a founding member of the Guerrilla Girls, to present a one-hour romp through the history of the influential anonymous artist-activist collective from 1985 to today. The Guerrilla Girls use disruptive headlines, outrageous visuals, and striking statistics to expose gender and ethnic bias and corruption in art, film, politics, and popular culture. This lecture is presented in conjunction with the exhibition Here and Now: Contemporary Feminists, on view June 28–July 22 at Strohl Art Center.
