What Happens When Veins Struggle To Return Blood To The Heart And What To Do About It?

Thursday, August 20, 2026 from 7 PM to 8:30 PM

Arteries and veins and the highlights leading from and to the heart. The latter mostly work to return deoxygenated blood from body tissue back to the heart. But what happens when veins in the legs have trouble sending that blood back? That is a common condition known as venous insufficiency. Why does this matter, what should you know, and what can be done for those experiencing venous insufficiency? Join Dr. James Lin, director of the LECOM Institute for Successful Aging and Vice President of Senior Services and Adult Living, as he explores this topic and addresses those questions.

Living Successfully Series Lecture in partnership with LECOM Health.
