Bring your favorite blanket or beach towel and get cozy for our Picnic Pals at the Library! Kids will receive their very own small stuffed reading buddy to keep them company during a special picnic complete with PB&J and juice or water. After lunch, children will curl up with their new buddies for 15 minutes of quiet reading time. Each child will be invited to promise to keep reading to their buddy at home until we reunite for more fun next month. It's a sweet, simple way to build reading confidence, encourage imagination, and make new friends!
If you came last month, bring your completed reading logs and turn in for a button.
We will meet at the front circulation desk and walk out to our Lawn on beautiful days. If rain comes, we will take the fun inside to our Children's Library.
Registration is required.
This program is recommended for children ages 6-12 and is free and open to the public.
