Lake Erie Arboretum at Frontier Park (LEAF) will celebrate its 25th anniversary on
Tuesday, Sept. 8 by planting its 100,000th tree of the ReLeaf initiative, marking a major milestone in the
organization's efforts to expand Erie's urban forest and improve neighborhoods throughout Erie county.
The achievement reflects LEAF's quarter-century commitment to enhancing Erie through urban forestry,
environmental stewardship, education and public green spaces. Since its founding, LEAF's programs have helped
expand Erie's tree canopy, improve neighborhoods, and create a greener, healthier and more attractive Erie. In
attendance will be LEAF Executive Director, Erin Green, staff, board members, sponsors, members, community
supporters and City of Erie officials.
