Donna Blair Patterson is now retired. She retired sixteen years ago. However, throughout her career, she was a teacher, a guidance counselor, a professor, and Dean of the College of Education and Human Services at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. During her career, she wrote for The Mainstream and Education Week. To date, she has written and published four books since her retirement.

"Poetry is a Painting in Words" which is the biography and works of Marjorie Nelson Sanford. She wrote poetry and short stories during the middle of the twentieth century.
"Let's Go Fishin': It's a Beautiful Day" is the biography and works of Don Blair. He established the first television cable company north of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He also wrote for the Pennsylvania Angler magazine for twenty years during the middle of the twentieth century.
"Hey, Where's the Money?: The Great Buchanan Mystery" which is the first book in a five-book series. In the series, a young adult sister and brother solve mysteries during the Great Depression. They all happen in the Erie, Pennsylvania, area. This first book is about a large money scandal. The second book is titled "That Guy Looks Familiar: The Case of the Missing Man." It is about a kidnapping of the son of the rich owner of the coke plant in Erie.
