Why We Don't Have Nice Things: An Erie Democracy Workshop

Saturday, October 24, 2026 from 1 PM to 2:30 PM

Join us for “Why We Don't Have Nice Things,” an in-person interactive democracy workshop that explores how attacks on voting affect our daily lives and the issues we care about most – and what you can do to help. This training will explore why having a voice in government matters to the issues we deal with every day. We'll look at how barriers to voting and civic participation can make it harder for communities to have a say in electricity costs, clean water, data center development, and other decisions that affect our lives—and what we can do about it.
