Asbury Woods Eco-course: Nature Uncovered Full Course

Wednesday, October 7, 2026 from 6 PM to 7:30 PM

Explore the connections between ecosystems, conservation, and everyday choices during this four-week adult learning series. Dive deeper into the natural world through engaging discussions, hands-on activities, and expert-led experiences that will inspire a greater understanding of the environment around us. The program fee includes supplies and equipment.

Dates: Wednesdays, October 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th

Time: 6:00 – 7:30 PM

Age: Adults

Location: Nature Center

Supporting Donor Fee: $60 for 4 weeks or $15 per class

Program Fee: $75 for 4 weeks or $20 per class

Week 1: Nature's Blueprint
Discover the connections that shape the natural world! Gain a stronger understanding of the ecosystems we interact with every day. We will explore how plants, animals, fungi, and the environment work together through the intricate systems that support life around us. To register only for this week, click here.

Week 2: The Hidden World of Fungi
Step into the fascinating world of fungi! We will cover basic mushroom identification, discuss the important role fungi play in the environment, and explore responsible foraging practices. To register only for this week, click here.

Week 3: Gardening for Wildlife
Learn how to create welcoming spaces for pollinators, birds, and other backyard visitors, including native planting, bug snugs, bee hotels, and more! To register only for this week, click here.

Week 4: Small Changes, Big Impact
Discover simple ways to reduce waste through low-impact living and make more sustainable choices. Participants will learn basic composting skills and receive their own compost bin to start making an impact at home. To register only for this class, click here.
