Join presenter Sarah Laurianti to learn all about Kinusaiga, a Japanese textile art form where artists create designs by tucking fabric scraps into grooves on a flat piece of foam. This is a great way to use scraps of fabric. No sewing required!
Free. Registration required. Adults only. The class will take place in the Idea Lab's Community Classroom.
This craft includes multiple steps: tracing, cutting into firm foam with an X-acto knife, and pressing your fabric into the ridges you've cut with fine hand tools. You will need steady hands. If you think that you will need extra assistance to complete this project, please bring a support person to help you with this class.
