Wednesday, Dec. 26

Artlore Studio will host its annual holiday art camp from Wednesday, Dec. 26 through Friday, Dec. 28.

Children who attend will have an opportunity to dabble in both art and music over the three day camp. Sessions will include making mosaic, fabric, and 3D art and the chance for children to write their own songs.

"I want the kids to have fun and to grow culturally from the experience," said Stephen Trohoske, a musician and co-owner of Artlore.

He will teach the music portions of the camp, while wife and partner Lena Logvina will introduce the children to art.

This year's camp will also feature a few sessions with guest musician Eric Brewer.

"We've had guest artists and musicians before, and when they (the children) see these are people in their community, then they know they can do art or music, too," Trohoske said.

The annual holiday art camps began approximately three years ago and have continued every year since. Artlore Studio also offers summer camps.

Cost for the holiday art camp is $120, which includes all materials and snacks. Parents are asked to pack lunch for their children.

The recommended age group is six and up. Those interested in the camp are encouraged to sign up before Dec. 21. Space is limited. — Tracy Geibel
