Saturday, Sept. 22

Ellen Anon is an award-winning, internationally renowned photographer. Her work is highly regarded as being nature-based but made unique with the blending of both abstract and realistic elements. In addition to her personal works, Anon has co-authored nine books on photography and is a member of the SanDisk Extreme Team.

On Saturday, Sept. 22, Anon will be leading a full-day photography seminar at Gannon University, sponsored by the Photographic Arts Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania (PASNWPA) . As part of the seminar, attendees with have the opportunity to listen to lectures by Anon as well as practice hands-on techniques to elaborate on their photography skills.

The event, which will be held in Room 104 of Zurn Science Center at Gannon, costs $49. This payment includes lunch. If you are a college or high school student, the event is free. To reserve a spot in advance, a check must be written to PASNWPA for the full amount.

The non-profit organization PASNWPA advances fine art photography in the Northwestern Pennsylvania area and provides economic benefits for its member artists. One of PASNWPA's goals is to provide education on fine art photography to the public.

Those planning to attend should be sure to bring their personal camera and lenses — or at least a cell phone — for the hands-on parts of the lecture. — Hannah McDonald
