We give you a special sneak preview for the BEST OF ERIE Winners! AND we talk to emcee Charles Brown, and even make some music of our own...

Hello and welcome back to endnotes! The supplemental, bi-weekly video series from the Erie Reader, courtesy of MenajErie studio, coming at you mostly live from this beautiful desk and studio. This is also our extra special BEST OF ERIE episode, where we'll reveal ten winners in some of the top categories!

In the meantime I hope you're all full of holiday spirits! Here we go!

On Friday, Winter Wonderland will kick off at Asbury Woods, with holiday fun for the whole family and that runs Friday Saturday and Sunday from 6 to 9 pm and the 27th through 30th of December as well.

Bootleggers Bible Club will be at Maxi's Cafe from 6 to 9 pm

Dramashop will have its Ugly Sweater Holiday Party featuring a special staged reading of David Sedari's The Santaland Diaries, that starts at 7 pm

Small Town Revolution will be at Bourbon Barrel for a very special PLAID party

Brotherhood Of The Jam, Embrace The Unknown, and Revelation at Scotty's Martini Lounge starting a little after 9

Sean-Patrick and the Newgrass Revolution will be at Irish Cousins along with Roseblood

And the two amazing folk acts Driftwood and Rivers will be at the Kings Rook Club for a downstairs show

On Saturday, get ready because it's the 4th annual Wayward Tattoo Studio christmas drive! Bring in a Gift of a $20 minimum with receipt, and grab a specially designed holiday tattoo! Doors will open at noon, so grab a good spot!  

The first performance of the 59th annual production of The Nutcracker from the Lake Erie Ballet in conjunction with the Erie Philharmonic. Check out our last episode with the Phil's Steve Weiser for more info on that!

Mosh for Tots will be going on at BT, with 12 bands starting at noon, you've got: Sacred Decay, Anti-matter, Raven's Law, Revelation, Bong Mongrels, Synaptic Rage, Slow Motion Break, Brotherhood of the Jam, Mala Sangre, Obelus, Requieum for Oblivion, Gelatin Skelatin, and Slaughter in the Meridien, admission is $5 or a new toy in its packaging! Santa will be there at noon

IMMORAL, Tazz & Noise Creep will be at Sherlock's

Refuge will be at Doc Holiday's for their Ugly Christmas Sweater Party

Splash Lagoon will be opened for Splash After Dark, running from 7:30 to Midnight

The Electroflux experimental music series will present dRachEmUsiK & D. Miñoza, greyspace, and Modular moose at the Erie Movie House.

And MoChester will be at the Kings Rook Club, with Six Year Stretch opening up the night

On Sunday, catch the Memphis outlaw folk of Tail Light Rebellion, along with Broke Boland and the Gabba Ghoulies at Scotty's

On Wednesday, get Merry and lit at Luminary Distilling, featuring music from Brenna Bone, Seann Clark, Lindsay Vendetti, and Eric Brewer!

And now it's time for a special presentation of The Best Of Erie!

We wanted to give Endnotes viewers an exclusive sneak preview of some of the top vote-getters for this year's awards.

Let's start it off sweet, with the Best Chocolate or Candy Purveyor, nominated were the Ye Olde Sweet Shop, Pulako's, Steffanelli's, and…. This year's winner, Romolo Chocolates!

For Best Locally made product, Romolo's was joined in the top three by Iron Empire Clothing, and the winner, the delicious Smith's Hot Dogs!

With 20 nominations, the race for Best Restaurant was a competitive one! In the end, the top three contenders after weeks of debate were Mi Scuzi, 1201 Kitchen, and your winner… Pineapple Eddie Southern Bistro!

Top honors for Best Bakery went to Icing on the Lake, Ye Olde Sweet Shop (appearing again), and winning it this year is… Art's Bakery!

Best Car Dealership featured Champion Ford, Humes, and speeding away with the top position, Bianchi Honda!

For best Jewelry Store, contenders were Glass Growers Gallery, Breakiron Jewelers, and for the brass ring, Dahlkemper's Jewelry Connection!

For the Best Place to Buy Furniture, we had nominees, Fred's Furniture, Arthur F Schultz, and tabling it, John V. Schultz

For Best Health Food Store, the nutritious options were, Chicory Hill Herbs, The Juice Jar, and owning it, the Whole Foods Co-op!

And if you're just tuning in, the top votes for Erie's Best radio station go to Star 104, 93.9 the Wolf, and with a smile on their face, HAPPI 92.7!

And winning the top award for best MC, the top votes went to Tony Facchiano and Jonny Evans of the LEC, while we'd like to welcome this year's winner and our guest for today, Charles Brown!
