Erie County's cumulative positive case total has more than doubled in a little over two months. The amount of deaths reported has doubled in more than six weeks. By our math, there have been 69 new cases reported over the last 14 days, for a ratio of 25 cases per 100,000 people in the last 14 days, with 38 recoveries per 100,000 people in that same span.

Today, Pennsylvania, saw 776 additional positive cases reported, for a total of 146,990. So far, there have been 7,903 deaths statewide, with 28 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. 1,708,131 patients have tested negative to date, with 12,847 negative tests yesterday.

In the last week, Pennsylvania saw 5,113 new cases and 83 deaths. The last month saw 22,146 new cases and 435 deaths.

According to the CDC, the US has a total of 6,571,867 total cases with 261,204 new cases in the last seven days. The total number of deaths in the US is 195,053.

If Erie County were to proportionally have as many cases as Pennsylvania, the county's total cases would be more than doubled, at roughly 3,145.

Erie County's negative tests account for 1.49% of Pennsylvania's. Erie County's new cases today account for less than 0.005% of Pennsylvania's. Erie County's cumulative positive cases account for 0.98% of the state's cumulative cases. Erie County's population accounts for 2.14% of the state population.
