Erie County Sees 309 Weekly COVID-19 Cases
One additional death was reported this week, with 38 new cases reported today
On Wednesday, May 5, the office of Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announced 38 new positive cases of COVID-19.
Erie County's cumulative total now stands at 20,295 total cases and 462 total deaths.
In the past week, there have been 309 new cases and one new death listed in the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS). On average, there were more than 44 new cases per day last week, for a decrease of one case per day compared to last week's data.
Currently, there are 20 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Erie County, with three requiring ventilators.
So far, 70,010 patients have tested negative for COVID-19 in Erie County
According to the PA Department of Health, there are 90,779 fully vaccinated residents in Erie County, a 7,718 rise from last week, now accounting for over 33.7% of the population. There are currently 27,341 partially vaccinated residents.
