Erie County Sees 373 New Cases of COVID-19 and Two Deaths This Week
53 new cases were reported today
On Wednesday, April 21, the office of Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announced 53 new positive cases of COVID-19 along with two additional deaths.
Erie County's cumulative total now stands at 19,683 total cases and 457 total deaths.
In the past week, there have been 373 new cases and two listed in the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS). On average, there were more than 53 new cases per day last week.
Currently, there are 23 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Erie County, with two requiring ventilators.
There have been 68,175 negative tests, with 984 this week and 741 last week.
According to the PA Department of Health, Erie County's positivity rate was 7.5% between April 9 and April 15.
According to the PA Department of Health, there are 69,230 fully vaccinated residents in Erie County, with 27,207 partially vaccinated.
