CornerBoy founder Lamar Owens

Stepping into CornerBoy Collection, downtown Erie's newest apparel store, customers are greeted with a setting reminiscent of boutiques found in NYC's SOHO and Melrose districts. Located at 1501 State Street, in one of the few, coveted PACA Building storefronts, owner and designer LaMar Owens is determined to bring what he describes as a "different vibe," to Erie.

Since CornerBoy's inception in 2017, Owens has found traction doing pop-up shops. LaMar was inspired by his mother, a talented seamstress. "When I was a kid she would make trendy clothes for me with ease." Owens says, going on to reflect, "She even made my prom suit, and my sister's prom dress as well. So I would say the fire was lit back then."

Striving to make CornerBoy Collection a household name, Owens combines quality garments with cultural designs created to be identifiable with the buyer; by pulling elements together "relating to our situations in this world." The streetwear boutique gives shoppers a diverse array of merchandise, including sweatshirts, jeans, sweatsuits, women's clothing, with up to a 5X in select styles.

Visit CornerBoy Collection at the PACA Building, at 1501 State Street. Monday-Saturday, 12-8 PM.
