Outrageous Fun at Erie Art Museum's ARTrageous Fundraiser

A night of entertainment, food, and art

Saturday, Jun. 8

The Erie Art Museum's annual ARTrageous puts the "fun" in fundraising as it kicks off a spectacular night for guests. ARTrageous is truly an event that anyone (with the coin to spare) can enjoy: the museum's galleries, patio, and courtyard are transformed to accommodate five open bars, live music (and the dancing that inevitably follows), engaging entertainment and performances, food from the best restaurants in town, and (of course) art.

Make a stop at a performance by the multi-talented Charles Brown Experience, listen to the blended traditional and contemporary Latin music by Mambo, jam out with The Division Street Machine to eclectic original music with a funky blues feel, and rock along with the passionate stylings of The Groove. If listening to live music pumps you up and makes you want to dance, head over to the Silent Disco with Amy Sasfai Petroff of Lake Shore DJ Service for a unique dance experience.

Guests can visit Cliff Hopkins to catch his magic tricks and intriguing illusions or watch artist Taradoodles cover models in body paint. Those who wish to can take home a caricature from Chris Schroeder, receive a psychic reading from Beth Ann Church, or witness the looks Pointe Foure Vintage Boutique and Headcases have created for the live models.

Even if you consider yourself more of a foodie, there's still plenty of options to taste and experience. Check out the artistic and decadent creations by Romolo Chocolates or chill out with a snow cone from Kona Ice. Sample food from city-wide favorites such as The Cork 1794, Make It Fabulous Catering & Special Events, Smuggler's Wharf, Cali's West Catering, Cloud 9 Wine Bar & Restaurant, and Give A Crepe. La CrepErie. Then head over to the Coffee in the Park – Brunch Box to stave off the lethargy that comes with a belly full of delectable goodies and a body tired from dancing and exhilarating entertainment.

All of these events tie into each other ultimately as celebrations of art through different mediums, making it perfect for any sort of art lover. At the can't-miss ARTrageous fundraiser you can watch, experience, listen to, and eat all the art you can handle. — Madeline Dufala
