Local entrepreneurs open new brunch restaurant

SUNDAY, MAY 27

Proof is the name of the latest pop-up spot you didn't know you had to eat at this summer. The young entrepreneurs behind it all, Joe Festa and Eli Kerr, have brought together a small passionate group of people to create this unique, ephemeral experience. Festa and Kerr's inspiration for Proof was simple — to prove that they could. Festa explains, "[Proof] is all about doing that thing you care about, but that you might not have the opportunity to do...and being able to say 'here's the proof [that I can do it].'" The talented pair offers a scratch-made, premium 3-course brunch in a fun, relaxed atmosphere at their gracious host restaurant, La Bella. Limited seating and the BYOB practice help to create an inviting, speakeasy-like atmosphere inside the well-known purple building. Proof will be open every Sunday from noon to 2 p.m. throughout the summer, with a seasonally reflected menu that is bound to surprise and evolve with the imagination of the owners.

Bring your favorite bottle, eat delicious food, support local business, and enjoy yourself at Proof. Reservations can be made through their social media pages. — Ella Julian
