Despite its intimate setting, Gathering at Chaffee's is one of the longest-running music festivals in the world, with its 42nd iteration slated for July 22 and 23.

Friday, July 22 - 23

It's almost impossible to fully describe the excitement that comes with the Gathering at Chaffee's. It is truly a magical place that exists but once a year. Don't forget your towel, because this just happens to be Year 42 (per The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the perfect fit for life, the universe, and everything). One of the longest-running music festivals in the world, Chaffee's is your chance to see your friends from town out in the woods, having fun and celebrating in their own different ways.

This year, the fest once again welcomes ekoostik hookah for a headlining set, as well as Chicago jam sensations Mungion for the fifth straight year.

Fans will be treated to two sets with Doctor Lo Faber of God Street Wine, one as a special GSW set backed by Eric Brewer & Friends (who also have a headlining slot unto themselves), and one with his band.

Funktional Flow also garner a headlining slot, with top-notch local and regional acts like The Sweet Life, Phunkademic, The Charles Brown Experience, and Stephen Trohoske's Electrohope Band, along with a dozen more artists on the bill.

This year also features a children's drum workshop for the third year running.

Camping is included with the ticket price, and is one of the finest things an Erieite can do. — Nick Warren
