Celebrate the return of the UPMC Sunset Music Series Wednesday, July 21 at Presque Isle State Park's Beach 11. The series features local musicians, and will kick off Discover Presque Isle and continue weekly until Aug 11. Concerts run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. and will feature two live bands, extended swimming hours, and a weekly raffle.

Performances by Lori Burke and Key West Express will break in the first concert of the series. Arrive at sunset to see the two acts or come early to enjoy a day at the park before settling down for the music. But whatever you do, don't forget to pack a lawn chair or beach towel for the show.

There is no admission fee, but the Presque Isle Partnership will be collecting donations through their newly introduced wood chip program, "Chip in for Presque Isle." In addition, food and refreshments will be available at the Beach 11 concession stand. Beach 11 is the perfect venue for the series not only because it offers a great view but offers ample parking, wheelchair accessibility, boat access, and a nature playground for the kids.

Pets are welcome at the music series as long as owners clean up after their furry friends and they remain on a leash behind the lifeguard chairs, near the treeline. There is no smoking or alcohol permitted.
