Catch Valoria wrapping up their tour in Erie on Saturday at Centennial Hall. The power emo-core group will be joined by local rockers Vices, Eastern Recluse, and Celevant.

Saturday, Nov. 1

Time to brush off those Halloween cobwebs and get to Centennial Hall for Providence, Road Island's power emo-core band Valoria, who are wrapping up an eight city tour in Erie. Valoria mixes melodic vocals with dramatic buildups with a classic harcore growl, working in electronic- and jazz-infused elements within crunchy chords and crushing breakdowns. Their debut EP racked up over 500,000 streams and the group has developed a strong following with their own brand they call "whatevercore." Valoria has shared the stage with the A Skylit Drive, Alesana, and Wolves at the Gate, proving that they are a band to watch within their scene.

Along for the ride at Centennial Hall is Erie's own Vices, who are made up of scene veterans playing pop punk with an indie sensibility. Since their formation in 2023 they have released several songs online, as well as a split 12-inch with post punk/metal band Neighborhood Dan. Sharing the stage will be two new Erie area bands — Eastern Recluse and Celevent — who are both within the emo-core wheelhouse. This event is the perfect kick off to the fall season for those who are itching to get out of the house before the snow flies and to get some pent-up energy out. —Larry Wheaton
