Friday, July 15 - 16

Summer is here, a time for local celebrations and weekend festivals, and those looking for a great time featuring good libations and free music don't need to look any further than North East's Wine Down Festival. Starting Friday evening and running all day Saturday, the gathering will feature a wide variety of local vendors, including Huffman Chiropractic, Todd Essman Woodworks, Jess Steinberg Readings, and POUR'd, among others.

Friday night will spotlight performances from three artists: the Jeff Fetterman Band, the Rodger Montgomery Band, and Clever Norman, in that order. Then, on Saturday, guests can look forward to sets from an array of regional performers spanning genres, from Rick Magee and the Roadhouse Rockers to the Dan Hallett Jazz Ensemble and local staple Fred Oakman and the Flood. Of course, all of this entertainment is only made better by the fact that chilled wine will be available to visitors all weekend long.

Guests are encouraged to bring their friends and as many comfortable chairs as necessary in order to make the most of this beautiful, seasonal weekend.

Friday at 5 p.m. and Saturday at 12:30 p.m. // Presque Isle Wine Cellars, 9440 W. Main Rd., North East // Free
