An Official Statement from the Erie Reader

A note from our publishers

To all our loyal Reader readers:

It is with some sadness but no reluctance that we are announcing the suspension of publication of the Erie Reader's print edition. As we all expand the practice of appropriate social distancing in the face of this pandemic, we feel it is in the interest of public health and the health of our employees to discontinue distribution until further notice.

This will be the first time since our first issue was published in March of 2011 that a new Reader won't be out as scheduled. While that weighs on us, rest assured that the Reader will continue online, providing the community with the same level of quality content that you have come to expect from Erie's only local voice for news, arts, and culture.

We hope this disruption will be short-lived, and we hope you all remain healthy and safe as we navigate these surreal and uncertain times together. During this time, you can find breaking news about Coronavirus in Erie, Pennsylvania right here on ErieReader.com.

As always, you can find us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @ErieReader, and at ErieReader.com.
