Audiences fill the Warner Theatre each year for Eerie Horror Fest. The 2024 festival is scheduled for Oct. 4 and 5 and the folks at EHF are calling for submissions from local filmmakers to the international film competition.

It's never too early to start preparing for Spooky Season and the folks behind the yearly festival of all things horror, Eerie Horror Fest (EHF) have already started planning for their 2024 event. 2024's fest is scheduled for Oct. 4 and 5 and will take place in the historic Warner Theatre. Those two days will be jam-packed with spine-chilling offerings including special screenings to official selections, celebrity appearances, and a variety of vendors and artists. According to their press release, "Aspiring filmmakers can look forward to many of the highlights our event is known for, including exclusive workshops and industry panels."

Those aspiring filmmakers are also encouraged to submit their own work for the international film competition. Whether you're a seasoned or novice filmmaker, you can enter your masterpiece of horror by visiting EHF's FilmFreeway page (which will also provide submission details and prize information). If you'd like to learn about previous winners of this competition, you can do so by visiting the Eerie Horror Fest website.

Festival Director Margaret Dieudonne comments, "Our team is excited to bring amazing and curated content to filmgoers and filmmakers alike. Our goal is to highlight the work of horror filmmakers around the world and to create a space where attendees can interact with horror in all its gory glory."

To learn more about official deadlines for film submissions, to become an event sponsor, to inquire about vending at the festival, or to peruse past year's art, film, and media, visit eeriehorrorfest.com

The official poster for 2024 was designed by local artist, EHF Art Director, and frequent Erie Reader cover designer "Monster" Mark Kosobucki, which helps set the tone for the festival.
