Frontier Friday Concert Series Is Back
Crush those concert cravings at LEAF, this summer into fall
BEGINNING FRIDAY, AUG. 7
Looking for some live music to fill your Friday night? Look no further than the Frontier Friday Concert Series, back for its third year at LEAF.
From 6 to 8 p.m. each Friday in August (except the 14th, as LEAF will also be downtown enjoying Celebrate Erie, too), head down to the Patricia McCain Outdoor Amphitheater between the playground and LEAF Education Center to listen as local artists play the stage for everyone's enjoyment. Local food, drink, and dessert vendors will also be on site, so folks can grab a bite while enjoying the show.
"It's a great way to unwind after a long workweek," said Claire Ciezki, community outreach manager at LEAF. "Nothing is more Erie than spending an evening with great local music, great food and drink, and great people."
Guests are welcome to sit on the large stones surrounding the amphitheater stage, or they can bring their own blankets or camp chairs to set up on the lawn. Be sure to bring the whole family along – with the park just up the hill, it's the perfect place for parents to watch their kids play and enjoy listening to the music simultaneously.
The Shaggy Dogs kick things off on Aug. 7, with vendors of the week Erie Ale Works, C&G's (Chuck & Ginny's), and Kona Ice. Aug. 21 will feature Mckenzie Sprague (40 Under 40 Class of 2025) with vendors Cellar '54, Dobbins Dogs, and Coldstone. And wrapping up August on the 28th will be Brooke Surgener (40 Under 40 Class of 2014) with vendors Erie Ale Works, Sundae, and E Doggs Hotdogs. But don't worry, the shows go on! The series runs five more Fridays after August, going until Oct. 2.
