Get Jamming with Erie Roller Girls at the Bayfront

Saturday, August 4

Ladies and gents, your favorite contact sport on wheels is raising a ruckus right by the bay. That's right, the Eerie Roller Girls are bringing the dirty derby danger with a big, family-friendly event at the Bayfront Convention Center. They are squaring (rounding, really) off against the Dire Skates from Richmond, Indiana, and competition will be fierce as these two teams compete for skating glory on the flat track, with 60 minutes on the clock.

As ever, female empowerment, athletic ability and teamwork will be on display in abundance (as well as some familiar faces from around town!), but making this event even more special is its dedication to giving back to the Erie community. Guests can receive reduced admission with the donation of a non-perishable food item, benefiting the Second Harvest Food Bank.

Start filing in up to an hour before match-time, and bring the kiddos — derby-goers ages 12 and under receive free admission! — Cara Suppa

7:30 p.m. // 1 Sassafras Pier // $10 pre-sale, $12 at the door ($2 off admission with non-perishable food item at the door), kids 12 and under free // eerierollergirls.com
