Saturday, Nov. 25

For the fifth year in a row, the Made In Erie Marketplace is bringing some of the area's best crafters together for a showcase of handmade goods. Taking place on Small Business Saturday, the event is one of the easiest ways to shop locally this holiday season, putting money directly in the hands of local creators (don't worry though, most vendors also have a credit card reader on hand these days). Featuring goods fit for all ages, the event has become one of the key events uniting Erie's artisans. Put on by the Bayfront East Side Taskforce (BEST), the event will take place at the Church of the Nativity Community Center. Proceeds of the vendor fees go to help the church's homeless shelter. — Nick Warren

More than 30 vendors will participate in the event, including, but not limited to:

A Neck's Best Thing: warm, and wonderfully one-of-a kind scarves, cowls from Mary Orsini

A Touch of Whimsy: ceramic pieces perfect for the garden by Pauline Schwab Snyder

Alex's Puzzles: captivatingly detailed works cut in natural wood

Carol's Creations: hand knit and crocheted items perfect for the holidays
