The announcement of the Mercyhurst Institute for Art and Culture's 2024-2025 season came with some familiar faces. In a greatest hits rollout - expect to see some of the brightest stars from MIAC's past revisiting the Mary D'Angelo stage and captivating audiences.

The Mercyhurst Institute for Arts and Culture (MIAC) has grown its reputation in Erie as a source of world-class talent for our local arts scene. Last year this meant a diverse slate of performances that ranged from Broadway stars to international dance troupes and everything in between. This year, the folks at MIAC Live are presenting their upcoming season as MIAC's Greatest Hits. And just like any musician's Greatest Hits album, this idea will serve the patron in multiple ways — as a great place to start if you're unfamiliar, or, if you're already a fan, a comforting return to something you already know you'll love.

Kicking off the season this September is Aaron Tveit, who visited Erie last May and performed to a sold-out crowd at the Mary D'Angelo Performing Arts Center. This concert was attended by folks from 25 different states and four different countries, which stands as testament to MIAC's world-class reputation — they're helping to make Erie a performance destination. Tveit, a Tony award winner who is best known for his work in theater, television, and film, is anticipated to sell out the show once again. According to MIAC's artistic director Dr. Brett Johnson, "Because we have chosen to feature encore performances by our patrons' favorite entertainers, we anticipate sell-out crowds throughout the season and urge our many fans to get their tickets early."

Regular tickets for the season will go on sale Tuesday, Aug. 13 at 12 noon, but patrons who are interested in season tickets, as well as some amazing perks should look into MIAC's 501 and Silver Circle ticket packages which includes access to their Season Soiree, a private concert and afterparty featuring Tveit.
