For the last decade-and-a-half, Erie's Spotlight Dance Studio has been taking one night in late spring to celebrate the talented dancers who call the studio their own, and the connection between the arts and the Erie community as a whole.

The tradition continues this year at Erie's most classical downtown theater. The recital will include dance performances of many genres including ballet, jazz, hip-hop, lyrical, modern, and musical theater.

In the past 15 years that Spotlight has hosted their annual "Spectacular" recital, over 2,000 people have come to enjoy each show. These guests include family, friends and supporters of the dancers. And since the host Warner Theatre only has 2,250 seats available for each production, those wishing to enjoy the recital should visit the event's Facebook page to purchase tickets before the event sells out. — Hannah McDonald
